Something I’ve been working on

I recently finished this assignment which involved my made-up character, Shep the young shepherd boy. In a land with colourful trees and where sheep float, Shep must look after the sheep. But he falls asleep on the job and by the time he has woken up, the sheep have gotten away. Now he has to go around the countryside and round up the sheep back to the farm (with his herding dog, Jessie).

Here is the setting/environment where this takes place. I’m currently tweaking Shep because his colour palette may be a too similar to my background’s palette. I’ll also post the colour variations of Shep I did on the computer.

After talking with a friend, who has a lot of child-like wonder, I realized that gigantic sheep may not be the way to go. Instead, floating sheep may be the newest thing. I mean, imagine this bored shepherd kid floating with a sheep around the field. Fun times.

Some scene roughs

Here are some scene roughs for an assignment I’m doing in my class. It’s a shepherd boy lounging around in the forest with his flock of sheep (based off of Aesop’s fable, The Boy Who Cried Wolf). So far I’ve been calling the kid “boy” and “shep”.
